Mass to honor those who give their lives to protect our safety |

A Mass to honor all civil servants in the community will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Ave., St. Paul, with Bishop Lee Piché presiding.
Archbishop John Nienstedt invites people of all faiths to join in honoring law enforcement and emergency personnel who currently serve and those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
A reception will follow the Mass of Thanksgiving and Remembrance, which will take place on the ninth anniversary of the 9-11 attacks on the United States.
The Mass and reception are sponsored by the Galtier Society and the archdiocesan Office for Marriage, Family and Life.
