The annual Archdiocesan Stew­ard­­ship Conference, which was slated for October, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26.

The Catholic Spirit Staff
Three stewardship professionals will address the theme “Stewardship a Way of Life: Building Vibrant, Engaged Communities.”

Father Daniel Mahan, who directs the Center for Catholic Stewardship at Marian University in Indiana­po­lis, will kick off the half-day program at Pax Christi Parish in Eden Prairie. He is the author of “More Than Silver or Gold: Homilies of a Stew­ard­ship Priest.”

Also presenting and leading sessions will be Jim Kelley and Leisa Anslinger. Kelley is the president and chairman of the International Cath­olic Stewardship Council and the development director for the Diocese of Charlotte, N.C.

Anslinger is author of “Forming Gen­erous Hearts: Stewardship Plan­ning for Lifelong Faith Formation.”

Registration details will be an­noun­ced this fall.

Sister Tanya

First profession


Sister Tanya Williams, a member of St. Frances Cabrini in Minneapolis, will profess her final vows as a Sinsinawa Dominican Sister during a 10:30 a.m. Mass Aug. 8 at Queen of the Rosary Chapel at the Sinsinawa, Wis., motherhouse. Sister Tanya is studying for a master’s in theology at St. Catherine University.

Community garden


St. Therese in Deephaven is helping to stock the Intercongregation Communities Association food shelf by hosting a community garden. The parish group, led by Dan Saufferer, has harvested hundreds of pounds of food for ICA.

New retreat leader


Dominican Sister Margaret Gal­iar­di will join the Villa Maria Retreat and Conference Center staff in Fron­tenac as a spiritual director. For more information, visit www.villamariaretreats.org.

Scout honors


Archbishop Robert Carlson, archbishop of St. Louis and a native of Edina, was honored by the Office of Catholic Scouting with the St. George Award for his service to the spiritual development of youth through scouting.
