In our busy world, it’s easy to take for granted everything our priests do for our parishes. We forget they’ve sacrificed to give their “all” to the Lord and his people.
With media’s current obsession with the sexual abuse scandal, more
crosses are imposed upon priests. Also, sometimes some parishioners make
undeserved negative comments about their priests. Sometimes
parishioners attack priests because the priests are simply echoing
Catholic teaching! A priest’s life is never easy.
Our priests are always there for us, sacrificing their time and
educating us. Are they aware they are appreciated?
A website called www.encouragepriests.org is being launched on Father’s
Day, June 20, but videos or written testimonials can be submitted now.
They will be posted on an ongoing basis.
Let’s post and show our priests how much we appreciate everything they
do and also pray for them!

priests in honor of the Year for Priests, which ended June 11.
