During this Jubilee Year of St. Paul, the celebration of World Mission Sunday in the archdiocese takes on an added depth of meaning and purpose.

As Pope Benedict XVI has said in his World Mission Sunday message to Catholics around the world: “The missionary mandate continues to be an absolute priority for all baptized persons who are called to be ‘servants and apostles of Christ Jesus’ (Romans. 1:1). . . . How can we not take the opportunity that this jubilee offers to local churches, the Christian communities and the individual faithful.”
